There are a lot of reasons to vote for Peter Mills. The other five commercials show a cross-section of the Maine economy and Peter Mills’ record of supporting Maine’s varied industries.
Trailer registration rules were costing us, and other small marinas like ours, a lot of money. After getting shut down by all the bureaucrats in Augusta we called Peter Mills on a Sunday night at home. By Tuesday Peter fixed the problem. That’s the kind of problem solver we need to lead Maine.

Small businesses in Maine have a crying need for venture capital — investments of a million dollars or more that will permit a small business to grow, prosper and produce jobs here in Maine. I sponsored and wrote a “Fund of Funds” bill that was signed into law this spring by Governor Baldacci. By guaranteeing part of the return, the state supplies a powerful incentive for the Maine Public Employees Retirement System to attract venture capital into Maine to link up with our targeted technologies.
