On another stage, Maine’s own Puck, Sen. Peter Mills, has officially joined the race for the governor’s office. One blessing: the senator will liven up the race. In his previous run at the office, Sen.Mills lost his primary to the more conservative Chandler Woodcock. He would likely have been a far more powerful challenger to the Democrats in the general election but, no, the Republicans must have their little litmus tests even if it means constantly shrinking voter registration and fewer and fewer seats in legislatures and Congress.
This morning Senator Mills was on the George Hale Ric Tyler Show discussing his gubernatorial campaign. The Senator answered questions from the audience on the second amendment, nuclear power, Department of Fish & Wildlife, welfare reform, and cutting the budget.
