There are a lot of reasons to vote for Peter Mills. His military leadership and service, the success of the economic development groups he helped create in central Maine, his work in the Maine Senate preventing reckless borrowing, curbing excessive spending, and revamping corrupt systems. But what truly stands out about Peter is that he listens, learns and acts. Peter can take an emotional, complex issue like mental health reform, research what other states have done, identify the problems with Maine laws, and craft effective solutions. He has done this multiple times with our mental health laws (example,) even if the midst of his campaign for governor. His priority is always the people of Maine.

This is one example amongst many of why so many of the folks in Peter’s district have volunteered on his campaign.
