Gubernatorial candidate Peter Mills has opened a campaign headquarters in downtown Portland. Located at 34 Preble Street between Congress St. and Cumberland Ave, the office will serve as the campaign’s extension into southern Maine.
Senator Mills is hosting an office opening celebration on Friday, May 7 at 8:30 p.m. This reception coincides with the opening day of the Maine State Republican Convention, held at the Portland Expo. The celebration will be directly after the televised Republican debate on WGME-13. The event is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
The Mills for Maine Portland location is the third campaign office across the state. Senator Mills also has offices in Skowhegan, where he operates his business, and his hometown of Farmington, where he was born and where much of his family lives. The campaign is now hiring for all three locations. Please contact (207) 431-7000 or marc@millsformaine.com for more information.
The Senator from Cornville has sixteen years of state legislative service and 26 years experience running Wright & Mills in Skowhegan. He has promoted economic development groups that have brought hundreds of jobs to central Maine. In 2005, he led the “Don’t Mortgage ME” campaign to overturn $447 million in irresponsible state borrowing.
